Under the highway
Hi there! I'm a photographer who loves to capture the beauty and contrast of urban landscapes.
In this post, I want to share with you one of my favorite shots that I took in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
As you can see, this is a view of a highway bridge that crosses over a canal.
The bridge is made of concrete and steel, and it looks like a giant arch that spans the water.
The sky is dark and cloudy, and there are flashes of lightning in the background.
It's a dramatic and powerful scene that shows how our cities have become jungles of concrete.
But there is also a positive side to this picture.
If you look closely, you can see some wind turbines on the horizon.
These are part of the Dutch renewable energy system that aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.
They are a symbol of hope and innovation that contrast with the old and polluting infrastructure of the bridge.
I love this shot because it captures the essence of urban photography: finding beauty and meaning in the chaos and complexity of our modern world.
I hope you enjoyed it too. Thanks for reading!
