Reflection in Black and White
Reflection photography always fascinated me. It's like seeing the world in a different perspective, where you look at the subject of the photo in a bit different way.
To capture a good reflection photo, you need three things: a calm day, a clear subject, and a perfect timing.
A calm day means hardly any wind, so that the water surface is smooth and mirror-like.
A clear subject means something that stands out from the background and creates a contrast with the reflection. A perfect timing means waiting for the scenery to be the way you want it to be. That can mean waiting for people to pass, or waiting for the water to calm after a duck just passed by.
This photo was taken during a cloudy day in a quiet winter day.
There was no sun, just a nice layer of clouds that gave the nice smooth reflection.
I didn't edit much in here, just cropped the scenery I wanted to share and removed the colors. I think the black and white effect adds to the mood of the photo and makes it more dramatic.
